Model Monthly August – Jessica
What can I say about Jessica. She is a dream model to work with. Every shoot I have ever had with her I have loved. She takes direction so well, though in most cases she rarely needs it. Jessica is always coming up with fresh poses and is an asset to any shoot that I am doing. This summer I had the opportunity to do an advertising photoshoot for Heartbreak Boutique, a boutique that specializes in vintage pin-up style clothing. Naturally I wanted to include Jessica and I am so glad I did. I hope to work with Jessica many many times in the future.
How long have you been modeling?
I have been modeling for 2 years.
Why did you 1st want to become a model?
Modeling has always been something that I was interested in, since I was old enough to dress myself head to toe in sparkles. I love fashion, and modeling let’s you be such a big part of that industry. My mother (a former model) tried to keep me away from it for the longest time due to not having a very good experience in the fashion world herself, but once I was a little older and she felt I could handle the harsh reality of modeling, she let me try it out. Since then I have been in love with modeling.
What do you like most about modeling?
What I like most about modeling is that it makes me happy. As simple as it sounds, that is why I love modeling. Even when life seems to suck, as soon as I step up on a runway everything just seems so much better. Modeling makes me genuinely happy and I can’t imagine not doing it.
Do you prefer photo or runway modeling?
Runway. Defiantly runway.
What are your aspirations for the future?
I plan to take off to Europe for school, quite soon actually, and go into fashion marketing. I would love to pursue a career in modeling but if that doesn’t work out I plan to make sure fashion is a HUGE part of my life. At the moment I’m mostly concerned about getting a business degree, and we will see where the world takes me from there. Being a Victoria’s Secret Angel would be nice though…
